Plus I know you and I both can handle Brent Musburger. I also want to add Ron Jaworski on this list. He's so annoying. I can handle Jon Gruden. Plus Kornheiser was awful in the MNF booth. Dennis Miller didn't seem funny in the MNF booth either.
Who do you think is the most annoying announcers in sports whether past or present? I guess Joe Buck would count but many people say Chris Berman or even Shannon Sharpe.
Not, MOST selected NEVER played the sport as a professional.
Jon Gruden by a country mile. I cannot stand to listen to his obnoxious midwestern "eeeccent" for 3 hours. Makes my ears bleed.
Tim McCarver needs to retire or go dry out somewhere. If he isn't drunk most of the time, he sure sounds like it.
Phil Simms is not really obnoxious, he's just boring as hell. Actually you could say that about the entire CBS football broadcast team.
Agree with the poster who mentioned Dave Sims. So boring, and bored-sounding, and he makes up stupid nicknames for the Mariners players. Dave Niehaus is spinning in his grave from April to October.

McCarver is currently a part time broadcaster for the St. Louis Cardinals. He's retired from national stage. I would assume Joe Morgan is retired from national stage as well though he does have his own radio show on Sports USA Radio.
