ESPN just loves certain boys, they love the nuts of Lebron and Tebow, I dont really care for ESPN all that much, they dont give enough credit to all the other teams out there, they focus mainly on the same ol teams and blah blah blah, and Im tired of World Series of Poker, stop it ESPN.
They do what gets ratings and unfortunately sports fans seem to love their drama as much as housewives that watch sports operas do. I wish they would get away from all the drama and off-the-field occurences.
It was one of the reasons that the World Cup coverage was so refreshing, they were covering sports again and talking about what happened on the field. You may not like the sport but it is hard to refute that.
I watch SportsCenter from time to time for the news and highlights, don't care much for the celebrity worship and drama though. I wish they would stick more to highlights and news, rather than glorify superstars and big teams. We get it, Tom Brady is good. We get it, the New York Yankees are one of the best teams in baseball. Show me the score already...
I think it's when they started their own awards show is when I finally cut back substantially in regards to watching them. There are still some guys there that I like, such as Mike Ditka, Adam Shefter (I met him once as he was a columnist for the Denver Post for years). They just have gotten too carried away. And that's too bad.
As a youth sports coach, I hate them.
Only showing individual accomplishments,
sensationalizing overpaid malcontents,
downplaying teamwork, morals, personal
responsibility.
