"The length of the jets in NGC 7793 is amazing, compared to the size of the black hole from which they are launched," says co-author Robert Soria [1]. "If the black hole were shrunk to the size of a soccer ball, each jet would extend from the Earth to beyond the orbit of Pluto."

Look at that star crossing the event horizon. Poor sucker doesn't stand a chance. The sizes and distance in this universe, are so immense, it is bind boggling to even think about. Beautiful though.

My limited knowledge of phsyics, I don't think so. Could be though.

I believe that our Universe sits inside of "something" and is part of many other universes that float around kind of like big bubbles. They expand and contract.

Since energy can't be created or destroyed, only transferred, (I would imagine this might be a universal, multiverse law) it obviously takes a tremendous amount of energy to create a new universe.

Obviously a GRB or a black hole could supply such things. The universe is huge, that doesn't appear to be Super Massive on a universe scale. I would think that if something on the other side were being created, it would be of low energy; cold and small. Or maybe it will just flash in and out existence real quick.

I just think it is interesting that we are finally starting to be able to ponder the mysteries of the cosmos.
