Happy New Year everyone! What are your plans? And does anyone plan to make a new year's resolution?

My New Years Eve will be celebrated in Omaha with friends... and I'm not sure if I'll make a resolution... I never stick to it anyway!

Great thread MJ! For New Years I plan on going over to my friend's place for a French Aristocracy themed-party. The girls are dressing up like Marie Antoinette and the guys wear peacoats and powdered wigs. It should be pretty interesting to say the least.

I have no idea where I'm gonna get a wig!!!

Great thread, MJ~I also hope that everyone here has a very wonderful and Happy New year. We're doing the usual~nothing. That's kind of the way we like to celebrate the New Year. We just got back yesterday from taking a long weekend vacation to Vegas and we're just so thankful to be home. Pretty different out there.

Danny, have you tried the thrift shops or Salvation Army? They've often got good things~apparel. (Wigs)

Happy New Year, my friends. Quiet night, for us too, I think. (I hope) not much of a night owl, the last few weeks. Think we will probably sleep thru the midnight noise.....LOL

I don't get the time to get on here much anymore, but I wanted to take the time to wish you all a very Happy New Year. I was home for Christmas which was nice, but we are back in Sioux Falls now and have absolutely NO plans for this evening. I bought some flowers for my wife so she will see them when she gets off work and I'm cooking dinner.

To tell you the truth I will be more than happy to see 2008 go. I'll let it go quietly...

Happppppppppppppppy NEW YEAR everyone. This sooooo reminds me of the Trading Places movie I think it was with the Happppppy new year Train Scenes, with the Gorilla costume ROFL.

No big plans here, 9 yr old kid says he is staying up to watch the ball drop (thank gawd the time difference there cuz I don't think I would be able to make it to midnight LOL), Set all the clocks in the house a couple hours ahead so he will think its midnight and we can crash LOL.

Wife works tonite and I am making dinner too. Yummy meatloaf.
Planning a trip back to Omaha on the 20th of January and may possibly stay in a cheap motel in Sioux falls if we can find one that will take a dog too, gotta take the dog with us this time lol.

Happy New Year to all of the South Dakota forum friends! We are spending a very quiet evening with our granddog, our cat who thinks he should go home, and take-out pizza.

My new mantra: 2008 wasn't great, but things will be fine in 2009! Best of happiness, health and wealth to all!

Happy new year to all.

With optimism and a "can do" spirit, we can make 2009 much better than the trying times of 2008.

My new years resolution is to improve my diet, become thinner, and to be more active. I have been improving but it does not hurt to take it up another step. Also, have my college loans all paid off.
