” Tell me why I should move to South Dakota? ”

You have a bird dog and he/she told you it was South Dakota or they were GONE!

Awesome. We have and breed German Shorthaired Pointers…looking at possible relocation to Rapid City area. How is the pheasant hunting on the west side of the state?

At least two hours in a car from Rapid to get to decent bird hunting. The central part of the state is where the bird hunting starts.

I noticed in SD campgrounds many people do make fun of California. For years it appears the Dakotas seem among the last anti "nanny states" around the country if not the world. Which they are not quick to jump on control "banwagons" in the name of safety which many other states and countries are doing with each passing year for the last two decades.

Though several trends in terms of new legislation in 2018 and 2020 seems to raise a red flag that they are starting to cave in too to the global trend of political correctness. I.e defeating the long federal ban on use taxes for interstate commerce since 1992 aside from vehicles that needs to be locally registered. I was surprised as the state gets so many people registering their vehicles in state due to lower fees than other states thus gets a lot of revenue from out of staters despite having a thin permanent population. I be curious if the Dakotas goes what states are left?
