Good afternoon...
Hope everyone is well and happy it's Friday.
I am visiting the area next week for a job interview.
Currently live in TX.
The job is in Spartanburg but will most likely go out weekends in Greenville.
I assume nightlife there has a little more of a variety to offer.
Gay male couple and some of the things I read have me thinking we would be as comfortable there as anywhere else.
Then I read other things and worry a little.
I know most places are what you make of them.
Can anyone comment on the gay scene in either area.
Also would also like to know about good areas to live in.
Walkable, safe, low crime.
I don't have a problem with a 30-45 minute commute.
Could you elaborate a bit more on what type of living arrangment you want. Do you want to rent or own? Home or apartment? Country, suburban, intown/historical, or urban? As far as gay scene, it will be much more alive in Greenville, but I always thought it'd be nice if some would come together and improve it in either Anderson or Spartanburg. Speaking of which, Spartanburg may seem alright and technically is bigger than Anderson, but Anderson is outgrowing it and has lower crime (usually).

You would do better to post your question in the specific Greenville/Spartanburg sub-forum. Also do some forum searching to see if others gays have asked about the area.
Thank you
I just posted in Greenville-Spartanburg thread.
My mistake for rushing.
To answer Mattee01.
We will be renting.
Would love to be in more historic area.
Either home or apartment.
Would like to have easy access to a supermarket.
I tend to shop sometimes 3-4 times a week.
