YouTube - ‪Frauen WM 2011 - Brasilien vs USA - Peinliche Showeinlage von Erika‬‏

I find it shocking that this Brazilian player was carried off on a stretcher, A STRETCHER, then jumps off to come back onto the field. What do you guys think???

Ah and sorry that it's in German, can't find an English version on YouTube yet...
I think the Brazillians are fine actresses. The Americans are better at soccer, though....

I have not watched all the highlights yet. I was unable to watch the game because I was at my son's tournament. We kept getting reports though, and when I heard that the US was down a goal and a player, I thought there was no way...............Karma came quickly in this case. What a great finish!

Even if there was a referee with better than 20/600 vision?

The faked injury worked against Brazil by adding enough time for USA to get that last goal with a few seconds to spare. They ran out of time just as Brazil was getting ready to take a corner kick at the other end of the field. Great outcome.

Because they are. Not by a whole lot but the Americans play better as a team and do not get as easily flustered as the Brazilians do. The American women have so much heart and composure that it gives them an edge over the teams that are near the same talent level.

the edge? a penalty shoot-out win? there doesn't seem to be much between them to me, the us look like a more drilled team, as you say, but brazil makes up for that with flair players

That was exciting game to bad it was so badley officated. There was no way that was a red card on Buehler she was just positioning for the ball you have to let the defender fight for the ball. Then the redo on the pentaly kick on Hope Solo was rediculous. I hope that ref does not do any more of the games in the World Cup.
