I just don't like this principle.....about ready to buy 3 $12 tickets to a ball game. If it's a 1 time charge of $4 per order (which I think they used to do), that's fair, even if barely fair.
However, now they are charging $4 per ticket! Do the math on 3 $12 tickets, that's the price of another ticket in so called convenience fees.....
Where the US Federal Consumer protection agency when you need them?

Excuse me....I would if...I lived 30 miles or less of the venue, ok.
The only way to avoid those charges, is to go the stadium or arena yourself and for most Americans, that's a big time hassle.
Even if you buy the ticket in your town, at a ticketmaster outlet, you still have to pay those.....
nothing wrong with providing service at a FAIR price.

I went to purchase Milwaukee Brewers tickets as they had a special - 2 for $25. When I got to check-out, the total price with fees was $43. I decided that was excessive and instead, went to a minor league game at a fraction of the price.
Ticketmaster can charge whatever they want in fees. However, the more they charge, the more likely I take a pass on the tickets. There are so many free, cheap and discounted entertainment options out there is you look around.
To the prior poster, going to the venue does NOT guarantee that you will not pay a fee. The last time I went to the Lawlor Event Center in Reno, I was charged a $2 convenience fee over the ticket price.
The problem is that there are too many suckers who will pay the fee, no matter how large it is.
^LOL @ "convenience" fee even for the most inconvenient way of obtaining the tickets. My favorite is when they charge you a "delivery" fee for electronic tickets that cost them about three ten-thousandths of a cent to deliver to your e-mail inbox.
Ticketmaster is an absolute racket. They're a big part of the reason I rarely attend major events. Any more the advertised price of a ticket is only 2/3rds of the actual price. Just tell me how much the goddamn things really cost and stop wasting my time.
Since how you pay is so ass-backwards with these sites I know to add a few dollars in my mind to the advertised price. Never take what you see for granted. I work in the concert industry and sometimes there will be a special such as $10 tickets to try to drum up attendance to a poorly selling show. But they make up for that by charging $10-$20 for parking once you get to the venue when parking is normally free.
I also recently bought several $2 tickets to an A's game online. After all the silly fees it really came down to $4 per ticket. I got them anyways because the true price of $4 per ticket is still fairly cheap.
But I can understand the frustration after playing these ticket games. You are still going to face possible parking fees not to mention ripoff food and drink prices.

Before I decided to pass on the Brewers tickets, I headed for check-out. The screen asked me if I wanted to PREPAY parking. The parking was $8, not bad. Until I saw that there was still another CONVENIENCE FEE.
That is OK. The parking was free and plentiful at the Beloit (Class A - Midwest) Snappers game.

Wow, that's just terrible......
They didn't refund a concert that they sold tickets for?
Their agruement would be, we can't help it that the Aretha cancelled the concert.....
my counter point would be, well, we did business with you, with the intent that you would provide us with tickets to see a show that didn't happen and now you're keeping the some of the $?
Trust me... we went round and rounds plenty.
Bottom line: we were out $80 for a concert that did not happen.
