My boyfriend and I are looking to move to Seattle in the near future. I have read through all the treads about where to live and I won't beat a dead horse by asking that. My question is this: What is the job market like?

I would like to have a job before I move (always the smart thing). So where are some good places to work? I have experience in Corrections and a technical degree and some experience in Graphic Design. I have been out of work since Oct and haven't been able to get a job here. I am just plain done with the mid west!

So, any job advice? Who is good to work for, or job listing sites?

Its been mentioned many times that Seattle economy is depressed in many areas except for tech. A technical degree might actually help you out. Look into Amazon, they're always willing to interview people out of state.

Where in the mid-west are you from?

The King County Police Dept is always looking to hire people. I did a little looking and found a corrections job available with good pay. Check it out!

Default Kent Condos - Noise Level

I'm looking to buy a condo in Kent in the next year. I'd be moving from a house in NC. I looked at Sunrise on East/Beacon Hill, The Lakes, and Harbor View. My first question is what is the noise level through walls? Obviously it will be louder than my house, but I was looking for someone to elaborate. I'm praying I don't end up with a yappy dog next door or someone addicted to a loud stereo.

Secondly, does anyone live in a condo in Kent? I'd love to get your general opionion on things.

Thanks so much!
