I was recently offered a job in Gig Harbor. I plan on living in the Tacoma area (moving from harrisburg PA). According to the WSDOT website, it costs 4.25 (lowest price if you have one of those good-to-go passes on your car) 1 way. Working 5 days a week, we're talking $85.00 a month alone for the price of just commuting across the bridge. Is it really worth it or should I try to find a position that won't cost me money just to simply drive to work?

Only you can answer that. $85/mo doesn't seem like much when a lot of people spend that in a week on just gasoline.

I think if it is a good paying job then go for it. It's really relative to what you make. If you made near minimum wage, I wouldn't take the job. Gig Harbor is AWESOME, I just moved from there recently. Tacoma is gross and smells bad and dangerous- pay higher rent and live in Gig Harbor- no toll fees, better living.

Yes, most people would commute to Tacoma and live in Gig Harbor. If your job is in Gig Harbor I would definitely live there rather than Tacoma, toll or not. Tacoma does have it's nice areas but they are more expensive and that I5/16 area commute is horrible.
