Hi all-
Will be arriving in Renton at the end of the month. Just me and I'm wondering if anyone knows of anybody (not companies) who has furnished rooms for short-term rent? I've looked, but haven't come up with much. Money is a factor, so anything over $500 a month is out of the question. S. Seattle could also be an option or N. Kent. And don't tell me that that's impossible because this is how it is for me. Any sites you know of or people renting would be appreciated.

Check some of those apartment websites. It will be hard finding a apartment that is clean at that price. I assume you want a safe area, and all the places you mentioned can quickly become sketchy. South Seattle, White Center, Skyway, Renton / North Kent, etc. Maybe look around Tukwila, or parts of Burien.

Does it have to be something in the south sound?

You might get stuck in undesirable areas, but then again, it is just short term.

I'm moving to Renton to attend RTC. If I can't find something beforehand, then I'll need a temp place. Has to be on the bus line, so I thought S. Seattle could also be a choice. Burien I think is too far. As for undesireable, sure I'd like to live in a decent neighborhood, but I lived in Mexico City for 2 years and survived it, so...

Have you not checked Craig's List? Because I've seen a couple there that would work. Will DM you a couple to show a few.
