Still trying to figure out exactly where my office will be in the Seattle area. One option could be in Algona. Can someone tell me what I could expect to commute if I lived near Anchor Bridge/34th bordering Fremont/Queen Anne? I would probably work 7:30-4:30 or so.

Feedback appreciated!

Just jump on I5 south to 405 then east to 167. Going in the morning would be about 45-60 minutes. I'd add 15-30 minutes going home in the afternoon ... afternoon traffic is always worse.

Thanks! So it would be a better commute if I were to live in West Seattle I assume?

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on where in W Seattle you live. The trip from home to I5 could be lengthy. The W Seattle bridge can get quite backed up during commute hours.

Well, OP wouldn't have to take the W. Seattle bridge... he could take 518 via 509 to get to/from i5 (or just skip i5, stay on and 518 will become 405). Which would definitely be easier to deal with than the W. Seattle bridge.

West Seattle definitely would be better than Q. Anne and Fremont areas... there's just a lot of constructions and/ or DT traffic to deal with in QA and Fremont.

Good stuff. Thank you. I guess I'll see it first hand when I visit next week.
