Hello, I want to move to Seattle so badly and am planning to visit for the first time in March. The cost of living is the biggest set back, but I'm determined to get a plan and work it out. Currently, I have quite a bit of customer service experience in call centers. I will probably look at attending a university there to finish up my degree, but in the meantime I would need to find a decent job with decent pay. I'm 26, old I know, especially to not have my degree by now, but it's been a rough past few years and I need a change. I'm currently in Tulsa, OK and need a change of pace and Seattle just won't leave my mind. I was also considering Dallas, Chicago, and Denver... but Seattle just seems like it would be a perfect fit for me. So, any jobs that I could keep an eye on at least?

Locally, we have quite a few... Directv, Sprint, US Cell, ATT, Cingular, Dish list goes on and on. They generally pay from $11-$15/hr. Are the pay rates in call centers higher up that way?

What do the poor people do that way? lol.

Also I might mention, my family used to own a trucking company and I was considering going back into it, but I have so many other interests from music, voice overs (hopefully, there are a few agents and opportunities around), car sales. I do have my CDL, so maybe there would be some decent driving jobs as well. I'd hate to have to get into a truck for a year or 2 to save up to be able to enjoy the city since I want to enjoy it from day 1, but it may be worth it initially. I haven't visited yet, but I just have a feeling I'd like to be in Seattle and settle there, buy a house eventually, and raise a family there. I, so can't wait to visit out that way.
