I should've added that the hormone thyroxine can and does raise the bodies metabolic rate regardless of caloric intake as that's why a properly functioning thyroid can assist in higher energy levels as well as fat loss etc. Much too complicated to explain in this posting however it works inside the cell's mitochondria's in a process known as Oxidative Phoshorylation.

Again i wish that the scientists in this study that Brian originally posted would've mentioned what part of ''Cellular Respiration'' they were experimenting with as i'm now intrigued by this clinical study .

You seem to be fairly well versed in this kind of stuff. Maybe you can use the contact information to clarify things.

They never did e-mail me back as i'm assuming that either they do not understand english or most likely they probably thought ''who the hell is this guy'' inquiring about our research.

I have to ask: Was your sense of humor turned off at birth, or do you not recognize it in writing? And no, this is not meant to be a slam it's just that I have noticed you seem to miss it.

Ya I have a hard time getting jokes on line as I read everything in mono tone. That is why when I make a joke I try to put some kind of face () to let people know I am joking but I am not perfect. When I read that I was not sure if the poster was trying to be funny or what but its kind of a insensitive joke as Bulimia is a medical disorder so its like making fun of someone with cancer and again while I am not perfect its not the best joke to make. In real life I actually am usually the comedian of the group but I have voice inflection and facial expression to use.

I wondered because I'd noticed before. From now on I won't give you a hard time if I see you missing it. And I agree that it can sometimes be difficult to spot. Someone really needs to develop humor, sarcastic, and ironic fonts.
