This house hunting task is going to be interesting to say the least. I am definitly coming down very soon to try & accomplish it.
I will miss the games between the Tigers and the Huskers, they had developed a nice rivalry in the last decade. Good luck in the B10 and in your house hunting.

Thanks for the good wishes, coming down the middle of the week to look around. I am sure it will be overwhelming to say the least. I should probably leave the checkbook at home

Nah, you might want to move some $$ CASH into it. You'll get a better deal that way!

This is exactly what made us buy on Palmer Ranch (The Hamptons), and really, it's a great location, because you can decide from one second to the next to just drop everything and drive down to the beach, and be watching the sunset or sitting at The Cottage or The Lobster Pot within fifteen minutes.

The ONLY potential location downside is that you will be a good distance to Downtown. This doesn't bother us much except as it pertains to being able to get to the best restaurants.

But with a newborn at home, it's not as if we're doing a heck of a lot of fine dining these days anyway, so I think we planned well.

Good luck, and enjoy!

Welcome to the Big Ten! Be prepared for my Badgers to give you a run for the title this fall!! I don't think either of us has to worry about those pesky Buckeyes this year. heh heh heh

I have always liked the Badgers, the former coach, now AD played for the Huskers.

I think you'll find the town of Sarasota similar to the people here on the board-helpful and kind.

Keep in mind that the Palmer Ranch communities are gated so you wouldn't be able to get in the communities unless you lived there, were visiting or went in with an agent. Just wanted to point that out so you aren't disappointed when you try to get in.

Husker,

On Day 1, Make sure your agent takes you to St. Armand's Circle and buys you a big lunch at the Columbia!! And for dinner they should take you to the Blasé Café on Siesta Key!!

And on Day 2, for lunch go to Marina Jack's restaurant so you can rest from all the house hunting. Don't forget to have a Yeungling or two while you soak in some sun and enjoy the view of the water.

Sometime, Make sure that you go to Siesta Key beach and see the super soft powdery white sand. It is like baby powder it is so fine, you won't believe it is sand. The Daiquiri Deck is an awesome place for a cool cocktail or two.

If you want more house hunting tips, remember all you have to do is ask!
