For those of you who live on the peninsula, what cable and internet providers do you go with? Who is the most reliable and cheapest. Thanks.

For internet service, you basically have the choice of AT&T or Comcast, unless you live in San Bruno. They have their own municipal cable service. I had Comcast for only two months before their customer service policies drove me away. Now I have the fastest DSL AT&T offers and I'm very happy.

I use Comcast for broadband service. It's pretty fast for me, but their customer service sucks.

I'm now with Comcast, but used to have DirecTV and SBC DSL... my roommate got free Comcast for the house, and has officially converted me to a digital fan. You just get more bang for your buck, it's less hassle than a satellite, and the internet seems more reliable. I also love the On Demand programming, and it's nice having everything on one bill. Just my 2 cents.

There are several other choices. Sonic is one of the highest rated on dslreports. I prefer to go with a local provider like Sonic that offers excellent technical support with almost zero wait time.

(Sonic.net)

Detail : SONIC.NET - dslreports.com

Lightning Bolt and Speakeasy are also Dsl providers with better customer service options.

San Bruno has to use their own cable provider, which doesn't get the NFL network.
