Walnut Creek is a cultural anomaly in the Bay Area, along with Blackhawk. Those are probably the only two places in the whole Bay Area where you can get a boob-job or a tummy tuck and still feel normal, without being the object of "intellectual" scorn...lol

Walnut Creek -- it's as if Glendale and Orange County mated and had a kid and sent her up to live in the East Bay!

Hmmm. I actually live here and don't know anyone with that description, nor do I see any of the hundreds of moms picking up their kids from school that look this way. I'm 100% positive that plastic surgery exists in all corners of the Bay Area. It's not like there's a shortage of plastic surgeons in Sonoma, San Francisco, and all over the Peninsula and South Bay. I don't know how you'd be able to pick out who's had a nose job anyway, unless you knew what they looked like prior to surgery.

Those are all area that have a lot of wealth. I wasn't that impressed by Marina Del Rey though. Newport Beach is kind of sterile. Santa Monica is the best comparison.

Not so sure about that.....go somewhere like Los Gatos, Atherton, Tiburon, etc. Essentially, many of the wealthier, less urban parts of the Bay Area, you will find that. You can even see that in the Marina District of SF.

Laugh all you want about this, but I'll take this over people dressing like slobs and not taking care of themselves anyday.

Where do they usually go to college? I think the area needs it's own University.

There are colleges all over the place within easy commute to WC, including UC Berkeley.
