For instance, many Bay Area residents claim it's a mecca of multiculturalism. Nothing could be further from the truth. Chinese people stick to their own communities, Russians stick to their own circles, and the typical midwest white Americans certainly don't move to West Oakland. The Bay Area is simply "pockets of culturalism", not true multiculturalism.

Also the the Bay Area lost the hip and trendy image when the housing market and tech industry "yuppified" most of the Area in the 90s and 2000s.

Now you have local residents (one of which is short selling his home) defending $5 tolls, that's the epitome of denial.

Agreed, thats why they are seen as children. Because they are. When adults are trying to have a conversation and stay on topic they come out with personal insults and 'your city sucks' nonsense.
