Its as big a scam on the east coast, I've actually had the same repeat scam offenders, I just say, get out of my face and get a job.

That's a real good way to get shot in the face. Try the ignore & walk briskly away strategy. At most, you should say, "Sorry, I can't."

Your right, It was a female, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have a knife or gun. She walks right up to you while your pumping gas, 15 pumps, she does it on aregular basis, who knows how much she gets in a night with the same story.

There's a guy that stands on the corner of Northridge Rd and Friars Rd (by Ikea/Costco) EVERY SINGLE day, all day long.

He wears a pastel colored sweater and holds a sign that says "So broke it hurts" or something to that effect. The weirdest things is.. he smiles and nods, doesn't look disabled and seems lucid. I just don't really get it. When I see relatively "okay" people like that (of course, looks don't tell everything, I know) I wonder if there families know what they're doing (or care?)...

I have sympathy for those that aren't mentally well -- although I don't think giving them money and feeding their homelessness is the answer.

Oh man, we fell for this too when we first came to town. It was around Christmas time so my husband decided to be generous. He made sure to be in control of scanning the card and such but the guy still disrespected us and went over the limit we offered before my husband could catch him. He didn't seem very thankful at the end of it all either, which leads me to believe he's done this before. I can't say we regretted it, because it was Christmas and all, but never again!!!

I thought about it, it was. I mean I can't get it out of my head someone got five whole dollars from someone. I am shocked number one because of the amount (mustve hurt you) and two they 'scammed' you out of it. I cant believe that, Ill paypal you $10 to get your 5 back and in case you ever get scammed again. I dont want anything in return.

Some of these guys make close to $1000 per day if they're in the right location.

Huh? This is garbly-****, skid31.

Did not hurt me. Yes, I think I was scammed. I'll certainly accept your reverse scam but no way I am giving any personal information out so your proposal is hypothetical unless you find a way.
