Does anyone know where I would find a list of direct flights from San Diego to other countries. Especially cities in Mexico or Latin American countries. Also, is there a direct flight to Hawaii?

Thanks

I know you can fly directly to Maui from San Diego on Aloha airlines. I'm pretty sure Hawaiian Airlines is the same.

You might want to check out the San Diego Airport website and look at the airlines that fly in/out of there. I believe most flights will route you to Los Angeles before departing internationally....

Because of no available space and a lack of vision by our early city leaders, San Diego is stuck with a podunk, single runway, Fischer-Price toy sized airport for years to come.

Because of that, we have very few nonstop international flights that originate here. The only flights I know of are SD-Puerto Vallarta on America West, SD-Vancouver/SD-Toronto on Air Canada and Aeromexico to Cabo and Mexico City. There are nonstop flights on both Aloha and Hawaiian to Honolulu and Maui throughout the year.

But there is some good news! Zoom Airlines will be flying nonstop from SD-London Gatwick beginning this April. Also, Philippine Airlines is working on a SD-Manila (Via Vancouver) flight as we speak. The airport authority is working hard to get Lufthansa to fly SD-Frankfurt in the near future, as well.

An alternative is to use the Tijuana airport, which flies more places in Mexico nonstop. Tijuana currently has a nonstop flight to Tokyo, and will soon have nonstops to Shanghai and Seoul.

Hope that helps!

Allow me to say that it makes for some GREAT approaches though and is a BLAST to fly into. So, the airport has a tiny upside

^^You are so right. There's nothing like landing at Lindbergh. Twice, I've gotten freaked out when the plane overshot the runway and had to pull up at the last minute. We all knew immediately that this pilot had never tried to land here before
