I'd get a roommate and live in San Diego over Texas. Just my two cents

A lot of your answers will come from what you do to pay your bills - like most of us. What do you plan to do for work?

go to texas, work on getting some school and work experience, figure out that it sucks there and not like home, build up that yearning to live in california again, then go back and say you got it out of your system. i'm a new transplant to san diego from austin, and so glad i left texas; i know consider it one of those "great places to visit but i wouldn't live there" (again) unless i had to places.

sometimes i think you don't really appreciate what you have until you no longer have it. but texas is definitely cheaper to live and work in, but without the pop. still too many young people around here suffer through their 20s unable to establish themselves school and career-wise and end up living hand to mouth for much of their adult years because they didn't try something different.
