Only one I remember was on Sports Arena Bl in Pt Loma several years ago. It now a Chick Fil A.
Haven't seen any since.

Claremont Mesa still has its Krispy Kreme. That was the first one that ever opened in SD.

That business model failed miserably in So Cal. They were opening them up left and right about 10 years ago, but it turns out most people don't eat that many donuts. But they were tasty while they lasted.

I remember the FRENZY when they first opened ... people waiting in long lines, articles and pictures in the paper... Yeah, they were good donuts, but I personally don't eat donuts more than two or three times a year ...

Yes, I went to the Clairmont location. But I have noticed you don't get many donut shops around. We have a condo in Point Loma and searched all over. Here in the L.A. burbs, there is a donut shop on every corner!

I went by another old krispy kreme location this morning but now it an Del Taco wft???
Ill check out the chula vista location tomorrow

When Krispy Kreme opened in Clairemont Mesa it was just like the video that schmoov posted showing the In-n-Out in TX.

Why anyone would open a Krispy Kreme in SD is beyond me. That's like opening a vegan salad bar in Texas.
