That sounds about right. My parents live about 1/2 a mile east of El Camino Real, and it's usually sunny at their house.

We're still looking in all of these areas and haven't settled on one. We drove on el camino real through encinitas and it didn't look so good. We'll try different streets next time for th egeneral feel... could you recommend where to go to get that feel of each area?

mom2move, we're renting in the apartment complex Del Mar Ridge at the moment - nice spaciouos rooms and open floorplan (3 bedroom) and right next the community center with the playground and activities!
Lena10,

About how far a drive are you from Encinitas? Do you have children?

Thank you

Hi! It looks like we've narrowed our search to La Costa and encinitas in OPE school area.
We've made an offer on one house but it's a short sale so we'll keep looking! Thank you everyone for your input! It's so true that the weather is radically different beteeen where we are on el camino real and stagecoach park where we're looking... I like coastal more but we can't afford it now... Maybe uor next house

The area around Stagecoach Park is actually a nicer area, though it does seem a bit crowded over there. It was built less than 10 years ago. I grew up right across the street off Rancho Santa Fe.

Actually the houses there are all about 20-25 years old but with proper renovations they'll lookgood!

Isn't Stagecoach Park considered Carlsbad?

Yes it is in Carlsbad, but it's right on the border of Encinitas/Olivenhain. Carlsbad is actually pretty expansive, if you think how far it is from the village area off Carlsbad Village Drive all the way down to La Costa.

Default update

Hi there! our offer was accepted so unless the inspection finds something terrible we'll be in La Costa! So... what's there in that Stagecoach park? I saw the fields for the ball games and a playground, am I missing anything else? pool? community center? Where are all the kids activities? (YMCA in Encinitas seems the closest location to me but I'm new and don't know anything Where do you go grocery shopping from there? Henry's is on the corner but where's the closeset vons or ralphs or jimbo's? where's the closest mall?
THank you for your continuous suggestions and feedback!!

jimbos is down Rancho Santa Fe - > right on El Camino Real, then on the left side. Carlsbad mall is the closest mall you're gonna find.
