Oops, I mixed up what I remember where last year (or the year before) it was said that for the first time in CA Caucasians would no longer be the majority >50%

This thread is almost 9 years old. I'm glad it's still here. I need this demographic map at the bottom. I just found it about a month ago. It's awesome. I'm trying to figure out how to secure an offline copy for my work. Any suggestions?

Its interesting how in SD County there was historically low Mexican/Hispanic population percentage and that despite being near the border and strongly influenced by Latin culture the resident population was very low like only 30%, as it appears the reason was that they rather live in Tijuana or Baja California and commute the border to work in SD county and return home at night bringing home wages many times higher than jobs in TJ allowing them to afford better lives as housing and COL was much cheaper south of the border, also living south of the border probably also means they only have to pay taxes as a non resident for their wages earned in SD and not all income, which is probably nothing if they are independent contractors payed in cash, I am not so sure but this just saying was what I was told. Though it appears the drug war starting in 2008, the housing cost implosion of 2009(expensive homes suddenly became affordable), and hours long delays at the border as a result of increased security has driven more former commuters(who may have dual citizenship or green cards), to move north to places like Chula Vista, and North County where the COL is lower and blue collar economy is strong and too far from the border to commute.
It appears this is what I heard why SD County appeared pretty Anglo in terms of Census Demographics until very recently despite being culturally Latin. As many workers, restaurateurs, and shopkeepers of Mexican origin around the city return to Mexico at night. And also I heard only recently that San Diego became more popular for professionals from all over the world whereas it used to be viewed as a tourist town where the International population were mostly tourists.
