I'ts the new year comin' up... What's going on in San Diego? Has it's population moved up? A start to 2011. What is it?

Option 1: 1,240,000-1,260,000 (It's a 20 yard FG that's no good!)
Option 2: 1,260,000-1,290,000 (Not firing up good yet)
Option 3: 1,290,000-1,310,000 (We are in 9th place still)
Option 4: 1,310,000-1,340,000 (Slightly over the hook)
Option 5: 1,340,000-1,370,000 (Over the hook now!)
Option 6: 1,370,000-1,390,000 (Maybe 7th place now)
Option 7: 1,390,000-1,420,000 (Wow!)
Option 8: 1,420,000-1,460,000 (A 90 yard FG that's GOOD!)

And I think it's Option 7 with over 1,412,700 now. Wow!!! Time's so fast !!!

Um, some of you voted for 1,400,000-1,409,999 in my last poll but now vote for 1,370,000-1,390,000 (MovingAloha, I'm taking to you). The only way I know that is, well, I won't say that.

So some resources say San Diego is losing population? I never knew that. Most resources said SD is gaining population (i.e. US Census, CA DOF, US FBI [crime rates] etc.)

What is that source ? Or did you just revise your population reports for 2010?

No, it will not. City of San Diego population only increased by 23,000 between 2000 and 2006. What makes you think it is going to increase many more dozens of times in the next four years? And where do you suppose these additional 600,000 people would live? Just to give you an idea, 600,000 people (roughly the amount needed to put SD at the 2 million mark) is about twice the size of Pittsburgh. http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/06/0666000.html

San Diego is roughly half that ... but no, San Diego will probably pass 2 million by around 2050.
