I currently live in Laguna Hills (southern CA) and I would like to stay in CA but move to a nice area with a bit more affordable homes. I like the Temecula area because its not to far from the San Diego and Orange County. It seems more in my price range. I have been reading about and looking at pictures of Harveston. Does anyone know anything about this area? It looks beautiful. Im planning a trip to check it out next month for the weekend. Can anyone give me any details about Harveston? I like working and working out. Are there good jobs and gyms in this area? Any details would be great.

Harveston is a very nice area. They have a beautiful large lake for the residents to use. It is also very near to the Promenade shopping mall; also near the Charparral high school. However, the houses are smaller than homes in other parts of temecula/murrieta/french valley areas.

My experience in Harveston is that the houses are not small, but rather the lots are...so you can have 20 houses on the same street, with the homes less than two feet feet apart, so cars parked all along both sides. Some people don't mind that, but it makes me a little claustrophobic. It is new and has a lot of neighborhood amenities though, so it meets a lot of people's needs.

I don't live in Harveston, I live in Redhawk but have played and coached soccer in Harveston. I think it is a really neat community. The lake and parks are pretty cool and the houses have curb appeal although they are very close together.

From what I've read, CareerGirl, I think you'd like Temecula. It's a safe place. Conservative in its politics, lots of churches - I go to an amazing church. But it is very welcoming to all. Lots of racial diversity as well.

Do you mind sharing the name of your church? Thanks!
