From what I've read & seen (I live just over in BHC, but only for about 6 months now) Needles seems like a decent place. I just got a house over there & was wondering it's like. I know it's hot. I have 6 month old, any suggestions on what I should do with him during the summer?
Also, I was wondering about how much utilities are.

Thanks!

Well ... you should feed and water him during the summer.

Oh, that would probably be a good thing to do.
Seriously though, I meant for the heat. Like, I've heard some parents put wet towels under their babies sheet. I'm from Washington, heat isn't an issue up there. I hear about 120 degrees summers down here though, not something I know much about [dealing with heat, that is].

Yeah, I hope I can get one!
I was reading another thread on here about Needles and someone said they had 2 air conditioners running & they were still really hot!
How long does the super heat last?

Not sure about the wet towel thing. It doesn't sound very comfortable. Will you be movng to a home that has central A/C? If not, definitely check into getting a portable A/C unit or two.

I would imagine most everything would have central air in Needles unless it is really old or very cheap...

Maybe they did back in the days before cooling. Now everyone flips on the A/C or the swamp cooler.

Back on July 17, 2005, during the long hyperheat wave in So Cal when it got to 114 here in Fontana, Needles was basking under a balmy 125 degrees.

But it's a dry heat.

Except during monsoon season. That's when the humidity levels will make you think you're in New Orleans.

Mmmmmm, fun in the sun in the Eastern Mojave/Western Sonoran.
