i found two places one 16665 valencia and thee other 9142 pepper ave. how are those areas as far as safety?

Pepper-no-that is in Colton-a VERY bad and High Crime area ! Valencia is Ok. Look at places N. of Foothill Blvd., that is better for your safety...

I wouldn't say either of those areas are great. My parents live south of that area and see the police helicopters about once a week or so. Fontana isn't really having a great year either. I think the city is up to about 6 or 8 homicides already this year. My brother in law is a police officer in Fontana. I would have to agree with looking further north in Fontana, or if you are looking for something smallish, you might look for an older fixer-upper in Loma Linda area.
