Unfortunately in this update I had to remove the mention for rain chances this weekend as most models have been trending further north with the progression of the next trough. In other words, the energy needed to trigger showers and thunderstorms across South-Central Texas will pass north across Oklahoma and the rest of the plains. Meanwhile we'll remain high and dry.

Hopefully our outlook changes sometimes soon, because the drought is without a doubt building.

I think you forgot to put "HOT" on all the other days that don't have it. Horrible weather...

awwwww scuba........ it doesn't let up for like, forever! You have lotsa frequent flyer miles to take trips back home a lot, dontcha??? giggle! Otherhalf was in Seattle last week and loved it! This schedule he's had of a week here, a week there, a week here..... thing is probably worse, tho. He hasn't gotten acclimated to either.

You'll get used to it, and spend tons of time in water!!

I may have to go back for work for 2 or 3 months. Sounds great at first, but I just got here and still haven't even gotten my stuff from the move yet! And there's a lot to take care of around the house and it would be nice to actually get to meet people at some point... If it were 2 weeks there, 1 here I'd be a lot more excited about the possibility.

Dang! Like, go back *already*? ugh! Sounds like maybe you work for the same company as Otherhalf.

Well, I'm sure that even if you go for the next 3 months, there'll still be some of this nice "warm" weather waitin' for you when you come back.

Going anywhere is pretty much at the will of my company. I've done a lot of travel in the past but this is a new position. They know I'm not going anywhere for more than a week once I get going with the MBA program.

steve,

I feel your pain. We moved here in August 2007. Two weeks after I crossed the TX state line, I was sent right back to where I came from for another two weeks. It's been 35% travel since then, most of it being in the same area we lived in.
