The Drought Monitor updates once a week. They stop data collection every Tuesday and release their analysis every Thursday. We won't know what they think until tomorrow.

And thank you Paka! A lunch/dinner get together sounds like a great idea! It doesn't have to be in my honor though

SAT received 1.59 inches of rain from this system, which is considerably less than most areas to our north, but still decent.

Area lakes have seen improvement, but still running incredibly low. Medina Lake jumped only about 2 feet and is still 52 feet below full pool. However, Canyon Lake which has a much larger drainage basin and can recover easier, is only about 8 feet below full pool.

You can check the area lake levels here: Real-Time Reservoir Information (http://wiid.twdb.state.tx.us/ims/resinfo/BushButton/lakeStatus.asp - broken link)

Parts of SA is now out of the drought according to the latest Drought Monitor update:

Yellow shading indicates "Abnormally dry" which is not considered to be a drought category.

Severe weather approaching SA from the west. The storm is passing through Del Rio at the moment. ½" hail reported by professional storm spotters with this system.

Default Severe Weather

Heads up !! Right now there's a line of severe weather entering Uvalde headed towards SA. It appears that the really bad weather will be to the south of us. This is subject to change.
