Off-topic, but it is 108 in San Luis Obispo, CA where my mom lives. They have no a/c, because they have never needed it. I called her last night and she was thisclose to being ready to visit Texas.....to cool off.
Poor mama, she HATES the heat, and it's usually 78 degrees there no matter what day of the year I call or visit.
