My neighbor, 2 houses away has already got a bunch of Christmas decorations out! Seriously! 2 scarecrows and a bunch o' Christmas decor in the same yard. Is it me or are we rushing Christmas a BIT!?

Yes! Before Christmas is over, we will see Valentine's Day merchandise in the stores! Eek! Seems we're rushing one holiday after another faster than ever before!

He must be getting ready for the contest. Maybe he likes to tweak it a bit. Over and over.

So many of the stores have their decorations going up already, so why not.

I like it,
In Missouri the Christmas season went from Dec 1st - 26th

Here, it reminds me of when I was a kid living in Caracas and Christmas season went from November 15th-January 15th.

There was a guy putting Christmas lights on his house on Halloween night when the trick-or-treating was going on. He apologized about not having candy for the kids, but hey, he is ready for Christmas! I like to tackle one holiday at a time.

well most people start the first of November, so i dont think he's rushing it, he might like Christmas better than any other holiday.

Yes, but it's bad manners to mix 'em.

honestly, i don't see the big deal about decorating this soon

the way i see it, i spend sooo much time putting up the tree, putting up the nativity, putting up the christmas village (complete with fake snow), putting up all the indoor decorations, and putting the lights on the house that i would like to enjoy all that tedious work for more than 26days...

our tree is coming down from the attic tomorrow and will be decorated by the weekend and the rest of the items should be done by the end of the weekend...with the exception of the lights on the house...dh does the lights and given his upcoming work schedule i don't see the lights going up on the house until after Thanksgiving...
