What is your favorite store to buy home decor items? I'm always looking for good shops. I prefer cheaper stores, but if you have a really cool store that you love, let me know!

Oh, this is a spin off from another thread!

Kirkland's and Hobby Lobby for cheap. And I've actually found some cute little things at Goodwill, when I'm in the mood to look.

Some nice stuff at Hobby Lobby. Me and my wife like to go there...Of course, we would be really, really happy if we had an Ikea!

Garden Ridge Pottery in Shertz is nice. I would skip the one on 410 because it is a mess. I like to look through Ross when I have a chance and can usually find stuff but I need a good amount of time since they are a mess, too. I like thrift stores. I also like Hobby Lobby and Kirklands.

Are there Tuesday Morning stores in SA? I LOVE them for many things homey; especially sheets and unusual import decor items.
FYI, if you like Hobby Lobby, check their website regularly for great coupons.

I like the others mentioned, plus you can find some good things at TJ Maxx and Marshall's in their home goods dept; I also like Kohl's for towels and they have some good sales on wall decor sometimes. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for. I like some stores for some things...and different stores for other items. If you're looking for bedding, for example, you can find some great deals at Linens and Things. I just bought new bedding for a King Bed and got one of their Super Sets which included the comforter; skirt; shams; Euro shams and 2 decorative pillows for $69.99 by using a 20% off coupon and the set was also on sale. And...it isn't cheap looking either - it looks nice (IMO), plus was just the colors we were looking for. I recently purchased the same items for a queen bed and it was only $59 (w/o coupon...it was on sale in January).

I love shopping for bargains and I'm in "house mode" right now cause we're moving into our new house in 2 weeks....I go through phases where I buy stuff for myself....then another time I'm only in the market for house stuff!!

Mojo I was thinking the same thing today about starting this thread, after we got off topic!!!!

I love all the stores mentioned too. I also find good stuff at the Super Targets. When I'm wanting bedding I take the drive out to New Braunfels to the huge Wamsutta outlet they carry Ralph Lauren too. Last year formy sons bunkbeds I found 2 down Polo plaid comforters reg $129 a piece they were marked down $69 a peice & I had a 20% coupon.

I'd like to hear of some good local places that aren't chains. I've always wanted to go into that Hill country Interiors but haven't made it there yet.

I think Lowes has a great selection of rugs for the $$$$

I'm in house mode too, so I'll be going to San Marcos to checkout their outlet places next week.
