You don't know what you're missing sapph. They do look gross and they are deep fried, which is gross, but they actually taste pretty good. They'd be even better if you add some DQ taco sauce. That stuff is the shiznit fo sho

I LOVE Taco Bell's hot sauce....is it similar to that?

And I even like TB's crispy tacos.

Paka, I don't blame you. I'd eat ho-hos for dinner if I wasn't responsible for getting an actual meal to the table.

Yea...I'm with you on that one Saph...(obviously, I ate the damn things for dinner!) It's not bad not to have to worry about getting dinner done after work once every blue moon.

You bring up an EXCELLENT point...why DOES Taco Bell package that yucky taco sauce for sale at the grocery store in a jar and not their FIRE HOT SAUCE that everyone seems to LOVE???!?!?!?!?! I'd buy the fire sauce by the case if they only sold it....

JiTB only did this because they knew their wouldn't be too many people stopping in.

A real San Antonion would be grossed out by JiTB's pitiful tacos.

I missed the boat ... My wife, daughter and SIL hit the JIB around 11AM while out and about. The one at S.W. Military and Pleasanton. No crowd , no wait whatsoever. Doesn't sound like I missed much. You can't complain about free though. But, the Taco Cabana thing a few days ago was far and away the better deal.

I suppose this is a great way to get food to people who otherwise would have had a long drive to the nearest grocery or those who have a less than desireable grocery store in their area.

There was a thread on the food forum actually; "How far is your closest grocery store".

Interesting stuff.

schwans is like a mobile grocery store, they come to you.
