I have heard from a few people, that the major projects of Park North Plaza, at 410 and Blanco, next to North Star Mall, will be to renovate Sears and build a new movie theater, a Sam's Club and Super Wal-Mart, and close the Wal-Mart at Jones Maltsberger. However the other day when I went to the Jones Maltsberger Wal-Mart, it looked like they were doing some remodeling. Anyone heard about what is going into Park North Plaza?

I believe it's a super-target that will going into Park North Plaza, Target will then close their store in the Concourse shopping center off 281 and 410. Haven't heard about the walmart or sams.

Rockin' The TriCities

n/a posts
On the one hand I'm sad that the very convenient Target is going to move, but on the other hand, the current location is pretty dumpy and not very well stocked, so I do look forward to having a Super Target closer to me than over at Crossroads, which is out of the way for me. Currently I go to the Super Target in the Vineyard, because I work at Stone Oak. That doesn't help me on the weekends, though.

I tell you what, though, I am jazzed about the Alamo Drafthouse going in over there. I love the Bijoux, but just like the Target, it's out of the way. I mostly go to movies at the Quarry, which is infested with teenagers on the weekends and summer nights.

Oh cool!!! Love the Drafthouse!! Different animal than Bijoux, both fun in their own right. Will be nice to see another Drafthouse in town!

The photos are of another phase of the strip center. When will the the phases containing Super Target and the theater get underway (or be completed if they're already underway)?
