I must agree. Why was Browne talking about something that had absolutely nothing to do with weather? Even if it were an appropriate time to bring it up, his rant made little sense. He was crying about how there was no good news about the economy in the media, yet he was quoting positive news from multiple sources of the media. Smacks of grumpy old man syndrome.

Shame on Spriester for taking the bait and being drawn down into such inanity. Perhaps he was equally annoyed at, not only an attack on his profession, but such a misplaced rant when most people just want you to shut up and tell me if its going to rain or not.
