Why are all the anchors on KSAT News wearing lime green (neck ties, accessories, etc..) Even the paper lying on their desk is green. Whats up with that?

I just did a quick look at their website and they don't offer any clues as to why they have gone all green. Are you sure you don't need to adjust your set?

Dube - did you ever find the answer to this? I finally got a chance to watch the news last night and noticed it as well. Weird!

The set behind them is not real. It is chromakeyed in. The chromakey process substitutes all instances of whatever color the wall behind them is for the virtual set. If you've ever been to the HEB treehouse at the Witte Museum, you've seen how this works on the weather wall display there.

In most cases, like at the Witte, these walls are apple green in color, since that's not a color that most people want to wear in clothing. My guess is that the wall at KSAT is blue, which forces the anchors appearing on set to wear green, rather than blue, so that they don't appear to be invisible! You'd have to ask KSAT why their wall is not green.

I said this in another thread but KSAT needs to seriously update their studio and get rid of the green (or blue) screen, it's so unprofessional in my opinion.
