We are planning to move to Sonoma Ranch this summer. Do you think we can get our 5 yr old into kindergarten at Bob Beard elementary or will be bused around to another school ? Any info will be appreciated.

As of now it is not capped, but I do recall seeing somewhere that it has the highest enrollment of any elementary school (not sure if this was just Northside or all of San Antonio). It is a great school from what I heard and their test scores are some of the highest in the city.

I think if you are there for Kinder round up in April you should be fine but fter that time period I would say all bets are off.

I met with the vp last month (our daughter will be starting kindergarden there this fall) and she said be SURE to sign up as soon as kinder roundup starts. They are busing children to other schools that they couldn't fit in but it hasn't started for kindergarden. Yet. I think they expect it this coming fall. They did not plan the schools in this area, they just allowed for an insane amount of building (and are building a huge amount more right now) but have no where for the children to go to school. Kinder round up is the week of April 15th and you need to bring proof of residence (utility bill, mortgage paperwork, etc), birth certificate, and vaccination card. Call them first to make sure though. I have the info stuffed somewhere in this house but I can't remembr where.
