Or even just any type of alcohol.....I don't buy alcohol very often so is there a big price difference between all of the liquor stores? I would assume Costco or the base would have the best price. Has anyone done any price checking between the stores?

The main advantage with on base is you can get it 24/7 365. Luckily we don't have to follow those silly blue laws like the rest of the city/state does. I personally usually get mine at the Don and Ben's on Potranco in the HEB+ center because they have a large assortment and it's right next to my house. I also usually buy things because of the bottles, which I collect, and not every store carries the unique things, like Bong Vodka (gotta love that bottle). Can't help you with Costco because I'm not a member, but I've heard they have free samples on Saturdays.. that would be nice

I try to buy at Costco. It usually saves me about $6/bottle. But I am comparing to a small liquor store by my house (in the boonies ). I don't know about prices on base.

I just checked out that website, cool looking bottles. I believe that you don't have to have a Costco membership to shop at their liquor store. Is the sale of alcohol on base still tax free?

The good thing about Costco is you don't need to be a member to buy the alcohol.

Right now...Sam's club has the Bacardi Mojito variety pack (24) on sale for just over 24 dollars (about a dollar a bottle) DH already picked up two cases!

Better hurry before they sell out, folks!

Is it actually inside Sams, or is it like Coscto, where it is outside the warehouse? Do you have to have a membership?
