My husband grew up on Anton and used to go into the trails and to the camel humps, and up to a place called orange mountain. He hadn't been up there in years and recently on November 8th took me up hiking to Orange mountain. He knows a lot of history of the area but said a lot was different. For instance that the caves were gone or filled in. We went up to orange mountain and he was glad it was at least still there. He said the rocks and areas where he and his brothers used to hang out were no longer there. The tip of the mountain was very high. I couldn't believe all that I could see. But the more peculiar thoughts that come to mind are the strange sights we noticed up there. I don't want to say too much but it didn't look like a hobo or squatters sight, it looked like a gathering sight. Has anyone been up there lately? My husband took me up there with him to remember the good old times he had there but it turned out kind of spooky and very strange.
