All those brochures boast about huge growth and half of all houses being built out here. I don't want to live in a traffic nightmare location..
and why would Walgreens want a store at both ends of Westcreek? that's approaching too greedy..

I forgot to include Alamo Ranch, which is the shopping center @ Culebra and 1604

here it is http://www.ucrrealty.com/photos/properties/flyers/200708281003420.Alamo% (broken link)
Good information however the site you linked to doesn't exist. It is my understanding that Costco is going in on Leslie Road adjacent to Bill Millers on Culebra and Leslie. The entrance and exit however would be a virtual nightmare for that area. Rock haulers would run you over going both ways!!!! Not to mention the afternoon traffic that historically back up a mile or more on Culebra at 6-7 pm.

I currently work at the Home Depot at Culebra and 1604 so I'm VERY familiar with the traffic patterns. lol

Keep us posted on what you uncover will you?

Respectfully,

Thanks Ray, somehow my ctrl-v didn't ctrl-v the entire URL.. oops

translation: I didn't copy or paste the entire web address in my post for some reason.

Hopefully they don't lock up that directory because there's a lot of good info on it for the entire state of Texas

Really? A COSTCO is going in next to Bill Millers on Culebra? I'd be interested to know your source. If true, that's great news for our side of town.

Default New Costco Locations

I e-mailed Costco quite a while ago about new locations, and they sent me this link:

Costco New Locations Coming Soon

No new San Antonio locations.

Im employed by Home Depot Culebra @ 1604. Thats been the scuttlebutt for months....also Lowes across 1604 from us. That would place 6 Home Improvement stores within 5 miles each way from each other.. HD & Lowes at Bandera & 1604, likewise at 151& 410, now Culebra @ 1604.....Can you say overkill???? I like the way your mouth moves when you say that...(apologies to Mr. Rogers)

I have a question. My husband and I are looking to buy a home in this area, since he will be stationed at Lackland. Any advice for finding a decent home just under $200K? We really want a safe area. I found some KB homes around this area in the Northwest??? Please help!

Default Just a suggestion

May I suggest the Trophy Ridge development just inside 1604 at Potranco. I work at Lackland and the commute is about 20-25 minutes if you leave before 7:00AM. The builder there is Medallion Homes and while you will not get as much house for your money as you would with KB, Medallion has a good reputation as a builder in San Antonio and they tend not to clear cut their properties before building. There is an elementary school in the neighborhood that is scheduled to open in time for the 2008-2009 school year, there is an HEB Plus grocery store at the main intersection, a Kohl's has just opened across from the HEB, there are more nail/spa/hair places within 2 miles than you can shake a stick at and there are plenty of fast food places including Burger King, Panda Express, Sonic, Taco Cabana, etc. There is also a Wal-Mart Supercenter across 1604 and plenty of future development is planned. Check it out. It's a nice neighborhood with genuinely friendly people.
