I see that Taco Cabana put up their sign along Loop 1604 (north of Bill Millers). Also, Broadway Bank started building their bank (framed in wood). You would think they would use steel girders for a bank to make it more secure...especially from the termites!

Wink Alamo Ranch

Can any one tell me anything about Meritage or Highland. Is Pulte or David Weekley the best. Should we go for a gated community.

Nope. There are two distinct buildings apart from each other. The smaller one to the right is Starbucks. Also, there is a BIG sign in front of the bank building.

Alamo Ranch is kind of an extension of Westover Hills. I personally like Westover Hills because, at the moment at least, it has a freeway and good infrastructure to get in and out. Until more roads are built in and out of AR, it is going to be a traffic nightmare. However, once this is taken care of it should be real nice (especially the southern half of AR, which seems to have gotten all the trees).

Default 151 to 211

I found a web site that showed long-term plans to extend 151 out to HW211. That would be great, as I just moved into Redbird Ranch and it would make the commute alot quicker. However, I've driven through Alamo Ranch and I can't figure out how they plan to build the freeway right through their without displacing some of the houses. Does anybody have info on this?

From some of the discussions on here and from the different maps posted, it looks as if 151 will follow the path of Alamo Ranch Parkway heading west and then shifting a bit more northwesterly after it crosses Talley Rd and gets closer to 211.

Found this site online discussing the new Madison's Market retail development off Potranco west of 1604, just across from the new Wal Mart. It's a 9 page pdf flier but if you scroll down, you will be able to see a large rendering of everything planned to be constructed at this time at the Potranco and 1604 intersection. It shows that the site was last updated 3/23/07.

Just wondering. All the information and conceptual maps of the different shopping areas don't list it but the big rumor (at work) is a Cosco's comming in that area with Walmart [1604 & Potranco or even 1604 and Culebra]. I don't see that happening, Wally World allowing a usurper. Anyone have any definite info on this instead of "i heard" rumors?
