We've somewhat recently relocated to San Antonio and moved on the lite side, meaning left all the appliances with the house when we sold it. We've been living in an apartment that has what we've needed but in the next week or so we are moving into a house that has no fridge, washer or dryer but has a stove... YAY!
Anyhow, I was wondering if ya'll could give me a heads up on the best place to shop for all three, you know.. get a bundle deal? I am looking for a washer and dryer that has large capacity, big enough to do my queen size comforter and what not. Fridge, eh.. a French door is nice and so is ice maker in the door but side by side will work too.
Ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions ya'll have have!

~Katchya

We went to Lowes.....we bought washer, dryer, refrig (special item that had to be ordered), and gas stove top (we had our builder install a gas line).

We were very happy with the price and the delivery.

Appliance Smart. Corner of SW Military and Flores. They have great bundle deals. It's an outlet owned by Maytag.

I bought from Appliance Smart, too. Washer, dryer [gas] and refrigerator. They delivered when promised and properly installed everything. I saved $300 on the refrigerator alone. There used to be another location near Windcrest. Don't know if it's there still.

Definitely Appliance Smart!! They have all of the "scratch and dent" appliances that can't go to the stores. We got a killer deal on a front load washer and dryer, and the sales guy actually cleaned most of the scuffs with Goo Gone! And they come with the manufacturer warranties, plus you can purchase additional warranties.
Check out what they have in stock before you shop elsewhere. HTH

I'm not familiar with Appliance Smart, sounds like quite the deal...
but other than that...

I have always been a big fan of Sears.... If you have a Sears card or a Sears Mastercard, there are almost always sales with increased savings if you use that card.
So, no problem if you're wanting to pay cash; just pay the bill right away, that's what I did all the time when I had my home in another state....

I save tons of money at Sears on everything.... I also have a Craftsman Club card and often, I get the sale price + discount for using Sears Mastercard, + additional discount for using the Craftsman club card....

What I like BEST about buying APPLIANCES there.... they STILL maintain a repair staff; if you call with trouble, they send someone who is EMPLOYED by Sears, not some local contractor who often doesnt care when they show up or what quality their work is.....

Sears now has a separate free standing appliance store over on Bandera, close to Guilbeau......

Good luck!

Ordered a dishwasher online from Sears on late June. By the time it was available to install, it was mid-August. Set a date 3 weeks in advance. Got a call 15 minutes befire installation time. Sears was "unable" to deliver the DW, no longer in stock. Someone was supposed to call me to offer a replacement. No one EVER did, despite repeated calls from me.

I finally cancelled the order (twice). Then, I actually had to dispute the charge, since they still hadn't credited me. In all, the whole process took 3+ months.

I eventually purchased my DW, along with a refrigerator, range, and micro from Lowes. THEY actually bring the merchandise!

Oh, and they price matched the sale that was going on at Home Depot (free install, plus 10% off), PLUS lowered the prices to compete with an online retailer I brought.

Me Happy.

I would go to Bennie's TV and Appliance at Vance Jackson and 410. They are very willing to deal. We went in there last summer for a price on a plasma TV, and an hour later we walked out having purchased not only the TV, but also new stainless appliances. We got a great deal on all of it, plus they came out and installed everything exactly when promised. We were/still are very pleased.

You all would've probably gotten an even better deal at Appliance Smart.
