Anybody been and would you recommend it? Want to take the kids but for 5 of us it gets kinda pricey.
Thanks

These things are alway's worth going to. A lot cheaper than going to Egypt or Rome or Peru. I went to the Vatican one. I saw a piece of St. Gregory's skull!

I wasn't too impressed but if you've never seen mummies before then it'll probably be worth it for you.

Our nine year old really enjoyed the exhibit. All the other exhibits and activities more than make it worth the cost of admission.

Both of our early elementary aged kids enjoyed it as well.

We regularly get a family membership to the Witte because of these type of exhibits (there are roughly two of these traveling shows a year). Now while the exhibits are listed as "additional cost", they usually will have a "members only" event during the opening weeks where it is free.

Compared to the newly opened Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the Witte is a joke. Too bad we won’t see anything like this in SA.

MAybe if San Antonio had 4 million more people we could support something like that.

I went with a group of 4 yesterday, on the living social deal, and had a good time.

It’s not about the population but more about the corporate $ and private investors in D/FW. Notice the name of the museum – Perot.
