Without a doubt, they're grooming Castro....which is fine. But it's an obvious attempt to garner favor with the hispanic vote Moderator cut: National politics = Off-Topic for SA Forum Does Castro have potential? Perhaps - if you agree with him that the government should be ever-more involved in our daily lives.schools - that is NOT within the purview of the city. It's the constant blurring of the government's true job/duties that concerns myself and others.

Some of us that do not live in San Antonio proper are still going to be impacted by the mayor's proposed pre-k plan, and the associated tax hike. What that means is we would get to foot the bill for the program through things like higher tax rates on our CPS energy bills, but could not use the program, and have no representation on city council. Hmmmmmmmm taxation without representation.....if you remember your School House Rock, that is the very thing the founding fathers rejected.
