Man slain, woman wounded at fitness center

A fitness club worker was fatally shot and a coworker was seriously wounded Sunday night after they were confronted by a gunman — apparently a club member — on the city's North Side.

So sad. I'm there at least three times a week.

That's just down the street from where I live. A few weeks ago, a woman was shot on 410 near Nacogdoches. The crime is moving westward. Someone on this forum a few months ago said they never heard of someone being shot in the 78216 zip code. I listed incidents from last year and here is another one.

That's what you get when you reject me, woman!

Oh, man, that's not funny. Seriously, someone has a serious rejection complex. It's sad when these things happen. Guy gets heart hurt....guy decides to kill the one who stole the heart he feels belongs to him. Or wants to belong to him.

I can empathize....but not condone. So sad.

edit: HOLY MOLY! Just looked at the pics, it's right by Sam Ash! I used to go there all the time with my blind friend who's a kickass musician! Wow. Close to home. Even though I don't live there.

NEW: 'Just a senseless crime': Fitness club victim mourned | kens5.com San Antonio

It looks like they weren't boyfriend & girlfriend, he was merely escorting a customer to her car. He had been working there for only 2 weeks. Not enough time to become steady, IMHO.

Absolutely ridiculous. Horrific. Senseless.

Moral of the story: do not escort young ladies to their cars.

Seriously, though, if she survives her injuries, she has to be forever grateful to that guy. Who knows what would have happened if she had walked to the car by herself? So sad. So, so sad. He was a father to a 9-year-old. How do you explain that to him?

So sad.

Yes, they were bf/gf because the mother of the girl said her daughter has mentioned him and was "seeing" him according to the article on mysa.com

What a terrible story. Moderator cut: Off-Topic
