We used to live inside of 1604 off New Guilbeau (prior to moving to Belgium in 2002), it was already a traffic mess then and has only gotten worse. I can't see how they are going to be able to build an entrance on Guilbeau that will allow eastbound traffic to turn into that new neighborhood. Most likely it will require turning around at the new light at Stagecoach Run (our old neighborhood)...

Default wrong wrong....no homes on this site.

Guys....it is not going to be homes. This land is zoned commercial and not residential. Whatever is going up is a commerical investment. The property was sold for somewhere in the 6 million dollar range and includes about 7 acres.

Whoever posted that these are going to be Armadillo Homes was reading the signs they have stuck in the ground along New Guilbeau. These signs have been purchased by Armadillo Homes and have a city permit to stick them in the ground. One may assume they are pointing to the new lot construction, but in fact, they are telling you to turn on 1604 to the right. Along 1604 you will see them telling you to turn to the left at Braun Rd. These signs are pointing towards "The Enclave at Laurel Canyon" which is about a mile outdside 1604 on Brauin Rd which is a new Armadillo Homes neighborhood.

I checked it out this morning. It is commercial. Hard to pay attention to signs when they are a blur in your side view. I apologize for assuming it was a new area for home building.

Did anyone ever find out what developement it is? I called the management company, but I keep getting bimbos who want to transfer me the sales department to see if I want to purchase the remaining acres! ARRGHH! Im hoping it is not a gas station...they dont always look very clean and upkept. Plus, there are already 2 shell stationg, a Valero and a Chevron down the street in all directions. Im hoping it is a small retail strip similar to the one on Braun and 1604. I have a question for you guys....what is with the city not keeping up with the median between the lanes of traffic on New Guilbeau? The grass is as tall as my truck! I call them to mow it, but they dont come out for over a month. I wish they could take out the grass and put in stones or crushed gravel with plants that can take the Southwest heat.

Anyone find anything out about the construction? It seems like it has been going on forever. I have a listing right behind the construction and the homeowners do not know what is being built.

They aren't building anything on the property - it's for sale. The construction is for drainage improvement.
