I need help. I am trying to find a fishing charter for my dads birthday. It needs to be in the sacramento/stockton area. 1/2 day or full day boat trip. Lake or river ...

Anyone know any good fishing trip guides in the area? I have looked online and found a few places but they never respond.

So if you know of anywhere I can look, or anyone that does this sort of thing, please let me know - my dads birthday is next week. He loves fishing but doesnt have a boat so never gets to go!

Thank you in advance!!!!!!

I can't tell you about individual guides, but maybe do some searches on Delta bass or striper fishing. Clear Lake bass fishing guides. Berryessa bass fishing guides etc. The guides will definitely be booked up on the weekends. Call them for week days etc. This is prime time for big bass and crappies.

New Melones or Camanche might have fishing guides as well. Same with Folsom.

Maybe your Dad would just enjoy a trout fishing trip up in the Sierra or foothills? Shore fishing. Just get plenty of Kastmaster lures and power bait/sliding sinkers. Try Camanche, New Melones, Pardee, Silver etc. Plenty of good fishing lakes and this time of year is great for rainbow trout or bass. Cold water and warm water species both biting. You can rent boats on Clear Lake or Camanche. Probably others as well.

Good luck!

Default Hey Karla

Karla,

Just wanted to thank you for your recommendation. We ended up using Bill and he was wonderful! My dad had the best time.

If anyone reads this and is looking for a fishing guide in Northern California, definitely give Bill Martin a call! His prices are fair, and his service is excellent!
