That's cuz no one wants to actually live there. Texas is a place you move to be cause you HAVE to (political, financial, employment), not because you WANT to.

The debate continues: which summer is cooler, current year 2019 or last year 2018 thus far. Here are the numbers. Hopefully, no one will "exaggerate", "spin", or "cherry pick" their case.

JULY 2018 - SACRAMENTO

Average High temp was 93F (heat index)
HIGH TEMPS: Number of Days:
Heat Index
80's = 5 days
90's = 25 days
100's = One day (heat index)
(5 days of actual temp at 100 or more)

Average Low temp was 61F
LOW TEMPS: Number of Days:
70's = 1 day
60's = 24 days
50's = 6 days

**************************************
July 2019 SACRAMENTO

High Temps, How many days of:
100's - 3 days ( Heat Index only 1 day)
90's - 18 days (Heat Index 17 days)
80's - 10 days (Heat Index 13 days)

Low Temps; How many days:
Not a single day above 66F, always cooled into the 60's and 50's.

Overnight and in the morning, Sacramento never stayed as warm as the 70's, 80's, or 90's like other cities across America; which doesn't mean all other cities, or that all of them stayed as hot as the 80's or 90's.

70's - Zero days
65F to 66F - 2 days
63F to 64F - 6 days
60F to 62F - 13 days
50's - 10 days

Uh, I moved there because I wanted to and politics had nothing to do with it and COL was a non issue. Keep silly political issues on the political forum, where stupidity is rampant.

Sacramento is a city I love, CA as a State not so much (Governance), and TX offers a lot CA does not and CA offers a lot TX does not. People are different and have different interests in life.

That's one of the things I've never understood about Sacramento. People here insist it is 105 every day and that it is humid. Another thing I don't get is sometime around the middle of August people start posting about "smelling fall in the air." And yet another thing. It seems like people here think almost any meteorological event that occurs here is rare and worth going on about in every forum or social media outlet.

Nutjobs! All of them!

Sac feels a lot like Texas in the summer. I’ve done both. If Sac is milder, it isn’t by that much. Sac gets its climate points in the winter, IMHO.

According to average NOAA data as per Wikipedia:

On average, there are 73 days where the high exceeds 90 °F (32 °C), and 14 days where the high exceeds 100 °F (38 °C)
