I am going to be starting school at RIT this fall and my boyfriend from Brazil will be moving with me. I was wondering if there are many Brazilians in Rochester or any type of Brazilian community/neighborhood. If not, what about other hispanic communities? Thanks alot..........

I don't know about communities, but RIT is very diverse. You won't have a problem meeting people there.

my sis-law is from brazil--she has meetings with other local brazilians monthly--usually get togethers at each others homes- she met others here by bumping into them while shopping etc. --i wouldn't say there is a particular area where brazilians live in rochester --scattered in many suburbs and the city - good luck

Default Cousin is Brazilian

Hello! I saw that both of you folks have Brazilians in your families. I also have a cousin-in-law who is brazilian and has been here in Rochester for many years. The problem is that he doesn't know anyone, works a LOT, really misses home (He's from Rio). He needs to get out and be social and I am really hoping that someone out there could help me connect him. If interested, my name is Lindsay. Please e-mail me at lindsay.cray@gmail.com!! THANKS!
